Who Joins the MNIA?
The MNIA is for any one interested in nursing informatics!
This may include individuals who are:
- Interested in a better understanding nursing informatics
- Interested or working in nursing informatics
- Working with clinical information systems, nursing workload systems
- Responsible for managing or leading projects related to health/nursing informatics
- Interested in networking with other individuals in nursing informatics
- Teaching nursing informatics
- Interested in developing standards for nursing informatics

- 4-5 educational session in nursing informatics/year
- networking opportunities in nursing informatics - the MNIA is the only formal organization in MB providing this to nurses

- way to keep abreast of what is happening in Nursing Informatics in Manitoba and Canada (through our representative on CNIA)
Categories of MNIA Membership
In recognition of different membership needs, MNIA offers several categories of membership. The membership categories are as follows:
- Regular - open to any registered nurse, registered psychiatric nurse, certified graduate nurse and licensed practical nurses of good standing with their provincial or territorial professional nurses association. ($20.00)
- Associate – open to anyone working in health information with an interest in nursing informatics. ($20.00)
- Student - open to any nursing student from an approved nursing education provider in full time studies ($10.00)
- Retired - open to any retired non-practicing nurses ($10.00)
Membership is renewable yearly.
